Spectro-Radiometer for Light Source Characterisation

The ZLX-ES series spectro-radiometer systems are designed for the accurate measurement of the radiant power emitted from a light source as a function of wavelength. Typical examples include the measurement of LEDs, tungsten and fluorescent lamps. The system is highly modular and can be configured using either short or long focal length monochromators, such as the Omni-λ300 or Omni-λ750 respectively, depending upon the spectral resolution required.

Depending upon the measurement requirements two system configurations are commonly used.

For high speed characterisation of light sources in the UV to Visible range a CCD array detector can be use with the Omni-λ series used in spectrograph mode. This mode is, for example, particularly useful for the characterisation of LED sources. A remote head collection head option is available for UV to VIS sources and is coupled to the analysing monochromator / spectrograph using an optical fibre.

In the UV to IR spectral ranges a variety of calibrated detectors can also be used with the monochromator in scanning mode.
